Our last evening in Albir turned into a huge disappointment.

We have been visiting Albir for over 10 years, and this was by far the slowest service we have ever experienced.

Right from the start, we had to ask three times just to place our order. Each time, we were told, "My colleague will be with you shortly." Eventually, we managed to order, and our starters arrived after about 40 minutes. After that, everything came to a complete standstill.

We repeatedly tried to get the waiters' attention, with little to no response. Meanwhile, we watched several other tables arrive after us, order their food, finish their meals, and leave before we had even received our main courses.

We had two children with us, aged 6 and 9. Fortunately, our six-year-old received his dinner at the same time as our starters. However, when more than two hours had passed and the rest of us were still waiting for our food, he was understandably getting very restless.

I went to ask where our food was and was told they would check. Shortly afterwards, another waiter came over and asked if our six-year-old would like some ice cream. We said yes, but that ice cream never arrived either.

After an incredible 2 hours and 30 minutes, our main courses finally arrived. I quickly ate my food and took our six-year-old to an ice cream shop before heading home, skipping the desert that was included. while the remaining five people in our group stayed behind.

We had expected a pleasant family dinner lasting around 90 minutes. Instead, our last evening in Albir turned into a three-hour restaurant visit with a six-year-old and a nine-year-old who were understandably tired and frustrated.

The food was average, and the prices were low, but that means very little when the service is this poor and nobody seems to take responsibility for the delays.

My recommendation: Do not eat here if you're hungry, have children with you, or have anything else planned for the rest of the evening.
